Whether you prefer a firm or soft suspension, or a high or low ride height, the vehicle can be tailored to the driver’s requirements by adjusting the air pressure. The air suspension raises or maintains the rear of the vehicle at the standard height, regardless of the load.
The major advantage of this system is its ability to adapt perfectly to a wide range of load conditions, where, for example, HD heavy-duty springs are too stiff when the vehicle is empty.

The air suspension consists of two air springs:
The full air springs replace the chassis springs and provide particularly comfortable suspension for vehicles such as ambulances and vehicles for transporting people with disabilities, as the vehicle can be lowered.
It can be ordered in the following variants:
1.) Dual-circuit compressor kit: Consists of additional fitting materials (air hose, T-pieces, etc.), a 70-litre high-performance compressor and a dual-cab control unit, allowing the air springs to be conveniently operated from the cab.
2.) SmartAir (automatic level control): Consists of additional fitting materials (air hose, T-pieces, etc.), 2 compressors and 2 height sensors. This system automatically maintains your vehicle at the optimum height, whether loaded or unloaded.
