Shell
Our roof tents have earned their reputation over the years thanks in particular to their rigid reinforced polyester fiber shells.
These shells have two ventilation slots equipped with a dust filter that improves ventilation inside the tent.
EVOLUTION POLYESTER SHELLS HAVE BECOME THE STANDARD
The shell of our James Baroud Space roof tent is a true demonstration of durability and finesse in manufacturing. It is designed with three layers of reinforced fiberglass and coated with a UV-protective gel, illustrating James Baroud's commitment to using high-quality materials.This shell is renowned for its consistent performance and ability to withstand extreme conditions such as intense heat, heavy snowfall, high winds, and torrential rain, providing reliable protection in all circumstances.
At the top of the shell, a portable solar fan is integrated to ensure effective ventilation, which is essential for reducing condensation and maintaining a comfortable resting environment, day and night. The Space tent is also equipped with sturdy automatic locks, designed to ensure the tent closes securely, even on uneven ground. These locks enhance security and can be replaced with a standard lock for additional protection, although this is not included.
Fabric
The fabric, made of coated microporous acrylic, is double-stitched for even greater performance against the elements and intensive use.
The mosquito net is highly resistant and is sewn into the tent fabric. It is so strong that it has been tested by towing a vehicle and can even be used as a hammock...

The James Baroud roof tent stands out thanks to its innovative patented three-layer fabric, designed to offer superior protection and durability. This special fabric includes a water-repellent treatment integrated directly into the fibers, ensuring lasting waterproofing that is superior to traditional tents. Its ability to block UV rays while regulating the interior temperature ensures optimal comfort. The high-end microporous acrylic material reduces heat absorption, keeping the tent cool on hot days.
Gray fabric composed of 6 coated layers, aluminized to reflect the sun's rays. UV-resistant, 100% waterproof but breathable.
All seams are double-stitched and 100% waterproof.
The fabric is mounted on cables inserted into aluminum slides curved toward the outside of the shells. This guarantees perfect waterproofing and high wind resistance, even with gusts of up to 75 mph.

INTERIOR STORAGE
Our hard-shell roof tents feature a storage net on the inside of the roof. When closed, the tent has 20 cm of storage space.
LANTERN AND TORCH
Lighting inside the tent is provided by the SOO Im James Baroud LED lantern. Equipped with a 2600 mAh USB rechargeable lithium battery, it offers several hours of use.
Removable and versatile, it also comes with a red light to avoid attracting insects and improve night vision without disturbing your friends.
SOLAR-POWERED VENTILATION
Ventilation is the best way to prevent condensation and remove heat. The James Baroud Solar-Powered Ventilation System prevents moisture and mold. Silent, it has a 24-hour battery that recharges automatically in the sun. This ventilation system is designed to circulate seven times the volume of our largest tent. Complies with 2011/6S/ElJ and ASHRAF standards. Capacity: 192 m3/h
HIGH-DENSITY MATTRESS
The James Baroud high-density mattress is designed for long trips and maximum comfort. With a density of 28 kg/m3 and a height of 65 mm, it is often rated as the most comfortable on the market. In addition, the Frontier series also features insulated PVC flooring for added comfort. For even more comfort and insulation, the Anti-Condensation Mattress (sold separately) allows air to circulate underneath.
