Technical
Load
The maximum load capacity of the California sleeping roof is 50 kg.
According to our customers' experience reports, the sleeping roof can withstand greater loads. Some customers load their SpaceRack roof rack and also use the SpaceMock hammock holder on it.
However, this is done entirely at their own risk and liability.
Gas springs
If the sleeping roof is loaded with more than just light luggage, it is recommended to replace the original gas springs of the pop-up roof with stronger ones.
You can find the reinforced dampers in our product range.
Experience has shown that this is only necessary for full carriers + heavy loads.
