The problem
Many tall VAN drivers know the problem. The advantages of a compact van are at the expense of the lying surface length in the rear of the vehicle.

The solution!
The solution is "cross sleeping". For this purpose, the GFK widening jaws were also called ears for mounting on the rear side panels, the driver and / or passenger side, developed.
This ensures a great sense of space in the rear! With transverse bed plans, the "XL customers" finally get enough length for a relaxed sleep. The possible cut-out and the max. Depth allow a large margin for the insulation, the panel and help enormously with the optimal use of space.

Optically, the "jaw" also does not need to hide. The assembly is possible right and left.
Important: Fixing is done by an inwardly bent adhesive and mounting shoulder on the side panel. Thus, the installation is invisible! The GRP attachment is attached with 1K PU adhesive and M6 screws or rivets. This allows maximum flexibility in the choice of the actual sheet metal cutout. Just stay in the area of the cut-out and take into account your layout or the furniture construction.

Depending on the country relevant: The widenings are delivered with a "fragmentation report". The report of the TÜV Rheinland is assigned to the GRP structure and not linked to a special vehicle. The bed widening is delivered with detailed papers and a sample report for obtaining the operating permit. Thus, the registration is done at the TÜV without any problems!

The assembly!

The dimension of the sheet metal cut-out should be within the maximum cut-out of the GRP molded part (max. dimension minus the circumferential mounting shoulder of approx. 25 mm). Do not remove any load-bearing chassis reinforcements!
The GRP attachment can even be fitted by private customers with some manual skill.
In most cases, a vertical strut must be removed in the cut-out area. The strut is only lightly dotted and glued to the outer panel. It can be removed without hesitation and without any problems! A side window is located here in the standard versions of many manufacturers.
The customer is responsible for safe installation. Assembly is usually carried out with a 1 K adhesive compound made of PU (data sheet of a possible adhesive variant enclosed) and should be supplemented with M6 screws or suitable rivets.
The longsleeper is fitted from the outside and fixed "invisibly" by the inwardly cranked mounting shoulder.
Insulation can be provided with 10 mm extreme insulator. The trim is customized to the interior design of the vehicle. Velour has proven itself here. The extensions are available ready for installation in visible gelcoat. The glossy visible gelcoat is UV-stable and can be repolished at any time. Painting on the visible gelcoat is of course also possible. Ask your trusted painter about this.
